Well, there it goes…the love month! And what can’t be truly missed on this special month for every 3rd year and 4th year student is…the JUNIORS-SENIORS PROMENADE…This was the most unforgettable and enjoyable experience I’ve had for this month…
I was then a first timer for this…since I’m a third year student. Days prior to the prom night, I was already being curious of what I can experience there. I asked some of my friends, even my textmates from faraway cities, everyone who had already experienced the prom. They told me, "It is one experience you shouldn’t ever miss, because that’s just twice in a lifetime." I first planned not to attend since…first, I’m like "allergic to wearing such gowns". I will have to wear high heels, which I really hate ’cause I might stumble with them. I will have to wear make ups even! And I was feeling nervous! What if I’ve done something that would put myself to total embarrassment there? But…with all these thoughts I had about being in the prom…hah! They all went wrong…as I attended the prom, and I never thought…that’s gonna be that enjoyable than I thought it could be…
I was almost late, but glad I still got there. I first registered, then finally headed inside the prom room. The prom venue was then a hotel, and I go to hotels just very seldom, that’s why I got excited while I was there. I entered the prom room with…my BF…haha, just ‘best friend’! I sat on a table where my friends were there. I tried to look around the environment I was being with during that time…and I realized…there was nothing to be ashamed of…nothing on the gown I was wearing, nothing on the way I looked…nothing on the way I executed acts…just did things in normal way! I was just like the others there…beautiful…formal…just satisfactory.
Me and my friends…we took lots of pictures…wacky pictures mostly! Then we even roamed the entire room, with my high heels…I just felt at ease walking with my high heels during that time,haha! Well, ofcourse if there’s good, there’s bad! I hate it…my nose…it’s running! I had my runny nose during the prom. That made me feel very uncomfortable for wiping my nose all the time…hah!
We ate dinner…then more extra-curricular activities…the announcement of ProM King and Queen, and Prom Prince and Princess…until it came…to the "dance dance" part of the night…
First, I thought the songs that will be played were all romantic songs…ofcourse everyone’s expected to do some sweet dance…the partners for life…the lovers…boyfriends and girlfriends…and those who just want to gain experience! Heh, it was just surprising that the first series of songs played were all…pure DANCY-POP SONGS! So we really danced to the music! Different partners, different songs, really enjoyable!!! Until the song played just suddenly shifted to…a love song…
There’s those partners…danced very sweetly, and they really looked very romantic…
Me? I…approached my…"prom date"…we sat on one table…just the two of us together and talked about interesting things…then we danced…sweet dance…while I was there on that moment…with my arms around his neck, and his hands on my waist…I felt warm…There were lots of them seeing us together, dancing…we’re not "us" actually…as in he’s not my BF, and I’m not his GF. But I didn’t mind that at all…It’s like I just forgot everything around me…It was then a very wonderful dream moment…It was my very first time to experience that kind, and I enjoyed it…I’ll never forget it. That’s all that matters…xoxo
The prom night ended with smiles on everyone’s face! Me? Yeah ofcourse…I even told to myself giggling…that I’M GONNA MISS THIS! Next year, it’s gonna be my last, so I won’t miss that! Being in the prom…whoa, simply the best! I loved it! Woo!
Yeah, the prom night really gave color to my February month for this year that I’ve already assumed to be the best year I will ever have. On this month, I had another great opportunity again to see CHICOSCI in a live performance! Same spot, same companions, same band! But not the same enjoyment! Hah…we just went unlucky not to reach the band in the parking lot. We did lots of effort, but hooh…we failed. Anyway, that’s another experience to remember…seeing them again performing with my own eyes…It was pure rocking!!! Great! -_+
And on one day, I’ve once seen again the beauty of Manila Bay…its beautiful view…the blue wide waters running slowly…the tall buildings faraway…the wide cloudy sky…the groups of ships…really nice view…I love that.
